Is it ridiculous to transfer colleges because of friend issues?

Basically, I'm worried that my bestest friend and I ruined our friendship. We hooked up one night and then two days later he was back with his ex. I was heartbroken and I don't know if things will be the same. I have two other close friends but he's my BEST friend. The one I'd always go to first, the one who I could tell anything to. The person I loved more than anyone else. I HAVE to stay at my college this year and I HAVE to be his roommate. No way out of either of those things, we signed a lease and I paid my tuition. I realize this is thinking way ahead but would transferring next year because of this be ridiculous/a mistake?
