Is my last name weird?

My husbands original last name was Rape, but before we got married he changed it to Rapier. His dad was fine with it for obvious reasons... I mean he wasn't even allowed to have his real last name on his Facebook because it was a "sexual assault..." Anyway since it was changed from Rape to Rapier, I can't help but think that people still hear "rape" in the name lol I'm sure it's just me being weird but I just wanted to ask someone that isn't bias. Thanks!
