Army VS Marines bulls***?

I think most of it comes from civilians who treat the military branches like sports teams. They want someone to root for, and they want some kind of narrative, and "first to fight" is a pretty cool hook even if it's not usually true. And there's the noobs who still believe the recruiting commercials and the myths, but most people outgrow that.
