What do you think i should do?

I really liked this guy for like a year. He was a friend of the family and eventually told him that i liked him face to face when him and his family were round. He didnt reply imidietly. He practicly skipped down the stairs and smiled like a crazy guy untill it was time for him to leave and then gave me a really tight hug at the door. Later that night i texted him and said 'sorry if i freaked you out' and he said 'you didnt, look you are one of my bestest mates ever but i don't think i see you in that way'. The thing is that he still flirts with me and hugs me when its time to leave. He still chats to me through facebook and text but for some strange reason not where anyone else can see it. If he contacts me it will be an inbox. I still find myself falling for him and often wonder weather he does actually like me! I don't no what to do!!!! Any advice here!!
