Why do people have such bad views on Liverpool?

Before I have all these Rambo's sitting behind their computers who feel they want to lash out at scousers please have some consideration. It is an actual question and there are many people who say some downright laughable stuff about Liverpool that just arn't true. Yes, there is crime, there are idiots and there are bad areas of the city, but I have travelled much of Britain and there are so many more deprived and worsened cities. Liverpool, within the last 4 years has expanded and flourished majorly it really is beginning to look great and all this talk such as "they all have curly hair and no teeth and rob you blind" is absolutaly pathetic. Please give your views in a mature way, its Yahoo answers and not "i wanna act 5 and talk crap to annoy a scouser" because im really not too bothered i'll just laugh it away, thanks :)
