Um, why is it suddenly so frowned upon to accept gender as what it is?

I hear you. I've found myself shaking my head and chuckling when I answer questions on here saying my boys LIKE playing with "boys toys" and I automatically get 5 thumbs downs. Sorry that's who they are...
